A sheriff's office vehicle was involved in a crash on State Road 2 at Country Road 179 in the early afternoon Monday, a Florida Highway Patrol press release stated. According to the release, at 2:25 p.m., Holmes County Sheriff's Office Deputy R.W. Strickland, Jr., 30, of Bonifay, was traveling eastbound on SR 2 when Bonifay resident Tilman Calhoun, 19, violated the deputy's right-of-way by attempting to make a left turn to CR 179, which caused the front of the 2017 Ford Explorer Deputy Strickland was driving to collide with right front of Calhoun's 2009 Toyota Matrix.
