The City of Bonifay may have finally extinguished a hot issue surrounding the lack of funding for Bonifay's volunteer fire department to replace aging safety gear in Monday night's regular meeting. Chief Shay McCormick of Bonifay Fire and Rescue approached the podium for the second time in his nine years as fire chief to bring a need before the city.
